Prior to doing this, I was an accountant and Certified Financial Planner™ at two different dental CPA firms. I have an MBA from the University of Michigan and an undergrad from Brigham Young University. I’m married with four kids and live in Salt Lake City.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wilkes University in 2014 and has spent her career helping clients navigate complex tax situations with accuracy and confidence. She has earned a reputation for reliable, detail-oriented work, and takes pride in developing strategies that ensure compliance and improve long-term outcomes.She brings experience in audit defense, successfully guiding clients through audits, examinations, and desk reviews while effectively resolving issues.
Jen Knihal
Sr Tax Manager
Jen Knihal brings over a decade of experience in the accounting industry, with deep expertise in corporate tax returns, tax planning, and long-term financial strategies. Now based in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas, Jen partners closely with businesses to deliver accurate financials, clear guidance, and seamless support allowing clients to stay focused on what they do best.
After earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Jen went on to complete her MBA at Bellevue University. Originally from Nebraska, she’s proud of her roots and her family’s strong work ethic.
With a passion for building lasting relationships, Jen focuses on making financial transitions smoother and more strategic for every client she works with. Whether she’s diving into a complex return or helping a company restructure its planning, her goal remains the same: to be a reliable, thoughtful partner at every stage of growth.
Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time with her loyal dog Gracie, relaxing by the pool, and soaking up the Texas sunshine by the river.

While born and raised in “Steelers Nation”, Auri decided to head south after graduating college with her Bachelor’s degree in Business. Since the move to “Atlanta” she has worked in the public accounting sector for the past 15 years managing client relationships and servicing their accounting and tax needs. Some fun facts about me: I took swimming lessons 5x and still can’t and my favorite snack is “Light green” celery!
My passion and role here on the accounting team at DTA is to provide my clients with advice, professionalism, responsiveness, and peace of mind knowing we’re keeping the finances organized. I enjoy watching small businesses grow into wealthy, successful, ventures both myself and leadership can be proud of!
